Work that arrives curated.

Artists come in through a door of their own. From their desk they add their works, their portrait and their CV, and every work arrives complete: title, image, year, dimensions, and the least price the artist accepts. Their desk needs no instructions: one sentence, one button, and nothing to get lost in.

You decide who you work with. If an artist says a work is with another gallery, you see it before anything moves. Finding work stops being a chase through email: it comes to you, ready to look at.

Work that arrives. A work comes in from the artist’s own desk. Open it and everything is already there: the image, the facts, the curatorial text, the papers, and the least price the artist accepts.

Sell with every detail, to every buyer.

A proposal to a private collector carries its price. A loan to an institution carries its insurance, its condition report and its transport. Each lives in its own thread, and what was sent stays exactly as it was sent; a change becomes a new version, so you always know what each client received.

The artist’s floor never appears in an email; your margin stays yours. The credit line, “Courtesy of…”, comes out right on its own, on your website and on your papers, and your terms and consent texts are written by you, in your voice.

A sale or a loan is a journey, and it travels as one: its works, crate, insurance, transport, the condition report on departure and on return, and every paper that goes with them.

The house warns, it never forbids. If a work is about to travel without insurance, you know in time. And the artist sees where their works are from their own desk, without having to call you.

Your website, from the same place.

The Spine lives in the WordPress you already have. It doesn’t replace your website; it fits around it and runs it from the same records. Publish a work and its page appears, with its image, its facts and its credit line. Your artists have their pages, and your news and events go out linked to the works they talk about and to the sources outside: the review, the catalogue, the fair.

And what comes in finds its place too. The letters that arrive are read and set beside the work and the person they are about, so the collector’s question is on the collector’s record, not lost in an inbox. One place to keep, instead of several that never quite agree.

With AI or without it.

The Spine works fully without AI. The rules of your house decide what matters and in what order, with no provider, no account and no cost.

If you want it, AI can phrase the sentences better, with your own key and the provider you choose. Switch it off, or change it in five years: nothing else changes, and your data stays on your own server, yours to take out whole whenever you like. How the AI is kept in its place.

We built it this way on purpose. An art house holds things that can’t be replaced, and the software that keeps them should outlast any AI.

Every change carries a name and a date. When someone asks in three years who handled the insurance of a work, the answer appears with its paper. That record is your provenance, and provenance is part of what a work is worth.
